OAEC and the WATER Institute are excited to welcome world renowned water conservationist Dr. Rajendra Singh to OAEC! Join us for a movie screening and workshops.
On Friday, March 31st at 6:30 pm we will gather to discuss how to revitalize and heal landscapes through community-driven decentralized water retention. This evening will include a screening of the award winning film “Reviving Rivers” followed by a presentation and brief panel discussion with Dr. Rajendra Singh (Tarun Bharat Sangh), Brock Dolman (The Water Institute), Zachary Weiss (Elemental Ecosystems), Ethan Hirsch-Tauber (The Water Folk), and questions from the audience.

Cal-PBR Technical Training Workshop, April 7th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm PDT
Join us for a virtual tour of the high-tech steps in Low-tech Process Based Restoration. Adam Cummings and Emily Fairfax will present tools, workflows, and concepts that will help you assess sites before you visit, and track project progress for years after completing a restoration project. You’ll leave this workshop with a collection of analyses and tool that you can bring to your next PBR project.

WATER Co-Director Brock Dolman will be presenting Slash ain’t Trash, it’s Beneficial Biomass as part of an all-day workshop on Flow Enhancement on April 25th. WATER Co-Director Kate Lundquist will be presenting as part of the CalPBR Network on recent developments in beaver restoration advocacy efforts in CA on April 28th from 9:00am to 12:15pm.

Beaver Festival XIV takes place on June 24th from 10-3 in Susana Park, Martinez.
There will be nature displays, children’s activities, excellent music, a silent auction and a dynamic chalk mural by Amy Gallaher Hall of Napa. Learn why beavers are superheroes when it comes to helping us cope with climate change and why more cities should be teaming up with them like Martinez did.
