As we’ve reported before, Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposal to launch a new Beaver Restoration Program at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) became a reality on July 1st, 2023. The department has been hard at work hiring staff and getting the program ramped up.
Now, the CDFW invites the public to attend its Beaver Restoration Informational Meeting via webinar on Thursday, May 25, from 2 to 3 pm. This meeting marks the first in a series of informational meetings and workshops intended to inform invested parties and the public about CDFW’s beaver management efforts and activities.
