2019 Update

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are proud of the work we have done this year, advancing bold and successful initiatives and providing a place of refuge and reflection to address the escalating social, environmental, and climate emergencies facing communities and ecosystems everywhere. Leveraging our resources – the OAEC land and center we steward, our knowledge and experience, and our participatory training pedagogies – we continue to work to achieve deep, positive social change as rapidly as possible.

We again welcomed thousands of changemakers to our Center. We worked with some of the most inspiring and impactful social change activists, organizations, and networks, collaborating with and hosting more groups than ever at the OAEC movement building retreat center. We also continued to provide abundant opportunities to learn from and experience our remarkable demonstration gardens, nursery, wildlands, and permaculture and conservation hydrology projects. Out in the world, we worked with dozens of diverse communities and partner organizations at the local and regional levels in many parts of the US and beyond to support them in creating more just and sustainable communities in their places.

We invite you to have a look at our 2019 Update to learn more about some of our most exemplary work this year. We want to celebrate with you, our supporters and partners, what we are able to accomplish together!
