The WATER Institute was invited to review the 200-page comprehensive Beaver Restoration Guidebook written by NOAA Fisheries, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service and Portland State University to support the restoration of beaver in the West. This guidebook provides a synthesis of the best available science for using beaver to restore streams, floodplains, wetlands and riparian ecosystems.
This Guidebook is the most thorough treatment to date on how to conduct beaver restoration in the West.
