  • Ma Earth Learning Lab (online)—Dec. 17, 2025. WATER Institute Co-Director, Kate Lundquist will share a timely talk about the ecological benefits beaver bring to our ecosystems. Join us to hear more on beaver coexistence, enhancement and mimicry of beaver-based processes, and more! RSVP on Ma Earth.

  • The Western Section of the Wildlife Society 73rd Annual Meeting (Monterey, CA)—February 4-6, 2026. Grey Hayes, Beaver Coexistence Program Manager, will represent the WATER Institute and share beaver coexistence resources.

Spring 2026

Summer 2026

  • Beaver Coexistence Webinar 2026 (online)—summer 2026. This webinar will share critical resources related to OAEC’s California Beaver Coexistence Program. It will be primarily geared towards land owners and managers, agency representatives, and those interested in beaver restoration career pathways. Anyone who would like to incorporate beaver coexistence strategies in their communities are welcome.

  • Beaver Coexistence Training & Tour (in-person)—summer 2026. This tour and training will provide in-depth field training and beaver coexistence information sharing. It will be primarily geared towards those pursuing beaver coexistence career pathways, land managers, and agency representatives.

Fall 2026

  • BeaverCON 2026 (Minneapolis, MN)—Sept. 28-30, 2026. Join Kate Lundquist and Brock Dolman of the WATER Institute for the beaver-believer gathering of the year. Professionals, researchers, practitioners, and the general public will gather at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis Campus to learn and exchange ideas through a formal program of presentations, workshops, and other social and educational events.

  • Build Like a Beaver (Sierra Nevada, CA)—fall 2026. Stay tuned for details about this annual convening hosted by the CalPBR Network. Join the WATER Institute and many other experts to learn current theory and best Process Based Restoration practices during 4 days of hands-on field work in the Sierra Nevada.
