We invite you to apply to be a Beaver Coexistence Professional through the BeaverCorps Training Program. Part 1, a 40-hour online training, is complemented by Part 2, mentored hands-on work with four coexistence strategies. By completing this curriculum, one can join California’s list of qualified Beaver Coexistence Professionals to address the increasing needs for beaver-human coexistence in the state.
For a limited time, the Beaver Coexistence Program with the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center’s WATER Institute is offering full tuition scholarships for professionals whose goal is to start or augment their business with beaver coexistence skills. This is a statewide opportunity. We are organizing an intensive, 4-day, hands-on training opportunity for late August/early September 2025 that may serve as a substantial portion of Part 2 of the training. So, getting started on Part 1 soon is probably a good idea.
To apply, read and follow the “Business Track” directions with our partner, the Beaver Institute, here.
