In Their Own Words

Why my work matters:

The flow of money through an organization, like the flows of water, nutrients, and sunlight in natural systems, has its own unique culture that must be well understood and tended. My dedication to both fiscal responsibility and ecological principles helps ensure that OAEC’s resources are managed in ways that support the center’s transformative work in bioregional education and social justice.

My favorite resiliency resource:

A Pattern Language by Christopher Alexander

What speaks to me:

Tarot, astrology, music, film, jade, the ocean.

My passions:

Outside of my professional life, I share OAEC’s commitment to ecological stewardship through my passion for organic gardening and ecological design. This alignment of personal interests with the center’s mission creates a natural synergy in my role, where financial stewardship serves the broader goals of environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and community resilience.

My favorite way to relax is:

In the Esalen hot tubs alone late at night.

How I regenerate:

Being in my garden, cooking in my kitchen, hanging out with my cats.
