San Joaquin Valley Water, an independent, nonprofit news site dedicated to covering water issues in the San Joaquin Valley, produced a video titled “Beavers Reintroduced on the Tule River Reservation” about the recent Tule River beaver reintroduction. In it, Brock is interviewed extensively about the relocation and the beaver bill that will enable this work to continue in future years. He also explains that the limiting factor in relocations is the lack of beaver-ready landscape. He suggests preparing areas for beaver by conducting “pre-beaver” work, such as process-based restoration practices that include beaver dam analogs and willow planting. Give the video a watch below.
