Snipes Farm Permaculture Design Course

Self-paced Online Learning: January 6 - March 2
8 weeks, approximately 2 hours of course material per week
Orientation Meeting on Wednesday January 5, 2022 from 7-8 pm via Zoom (this will be recorded and available for those not able to attend)
Through a series of videos and interactive lessons, students will gain a foundational understanding of earth systems, the principles of permaculture, and basic design methodology. This material will lay the important conceptual groundwork needed for the In-person design training.
In-person Training at Snipes Farm & Learning Center: March 5, 6, 14 & 15, April 2 & 16
9 am to 5pm all 6 days
The in-person portion of the course will have 2 main goals: to practice permaculture skills and to undertake a design project. We will learn some of the practical applications of permaculture such as conservation hydrology, earthworks, food forests, composting, natural building, renewable energy systems and more. The permaculture design project during the course will be for Snipes Farm.
We will be abiding by all state and county Covid protocols. Most of the in-person learning at Snipes Farm will be outdoors and we will be wearing masks for any indoor activities.
Cost
$1025 is the base cost for each participant of this custom course (participant minimum), due at the time of registration.
