40 hrs per week, year-round. Non-residential position.

The Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (OAEC) seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator to support OAEC’s finance and payroll administration systems. Reporting to OAEC’s Finance Director, the Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator will be part of a two-person Finance Department team that serves OAEC’s diverse portfolio of projects and programs, including its growing Fiscally Sponsored Projects (FSP) Program.

Some of the Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator’s primary responsibilities will include running weekly A/P and A/R processes, entering data into QuickBooks, processing payroll, reconciling OAEC’s Nursery POS system weekly, and maintaining exact financial data and backup documentation for OAEC’s annual nonprofit audit process.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of bookkeeping experience in a small or medium business and/or nonprofit setting and proficiency in processing payroll. They will work on-site at OAEC (with occasional flexibility for remote work), and should be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail as well as passionate about OAEC’s mission and programmatic work in the world.
