Release for Participation at OAEC

Whether you have come to the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (the "Center") to participate in specific activities or just to unwind and learn more about yourself, we want your stay here to be relaxing, pleasant and above all, safe.

The Center has taken all reasonable precautions to make activities at the Center safe for participants. However, participation in any outdoor activities is potentially dangerous. You may be exposed to risks of personal injury and death ("physical injury"), as well as property loss or damage ("property damage"), while at the Center.

In particular, because there is a serious risk of fire at the Center, while at the Center you may not smoke outside of clearly designated areas, light matches or other flammable, incendiary or explosive materials, build campfires, park outside of designated parking areas, or engage in any other conduct which could cause fire. You must also refrain from participating in any activities if your medical, physical, or emotional condition or any other factors might create any undue risk fo you, ofher parficipants or anyone else.

Following these simple rules will greatly reduce the risk of accidents or injuries during your stay at the Center. We also ask that you accept all risks and responsibility for any physical injury to yourself, damage to your property, or other losses to you of any kind which might occur while you are at the Center, regardless of whether the physical injury or property damage or loss is connected in any way with your participation in any activities. To enable the Center to continue to provide its programs and activities, we must obtain a release from each participant. The formal language of the Release Form, which is available below and through our office, is necessary for this purpose. Thank You.

Print this form from your browser, fill out and give to OAEC staff before participating at OAEC. Thank you
