Saturday Aug. 23rd - Sunday Aug. 24th

One of the great joys of living in Northern California is that we can garden all year round, creating fall and winter gardens that rival the beauty, diversity and productivity of summer gardens. This is the time to put fall and winter seedlings into the ground while the soil is still warm! Choose from hundreds of varieties of heirloom brassicas, lettuces, salad greens, chards, leeks, and herbs as well as old-fashioned annual flowers. We'll have lots of ornamental and edible perennials too.

Click here for a list of the varieties we will offer during this August sale.

This is a free event with Garden Tours at 11 AM and 1 PM.

Start: 11:00
End: 12:00

Saturday Sept. 13th, 2pm

Music! Clowns! Storytelling! Magic! Dance! These elements and more are the ingredients that go into creating these wondrous evenings of entertainment and enlightenment. Celebrating its sixth year of production, the Revue is founded on the belief that local entertainment for local audiences can be a memorable and moving event. Performed under the trees on the North Garden Stage, the setting is half the show.

On Saturday there will also be a matinee offering; a one act version of our evening show that is equally delicious for children and their big people. This show has also been getting big crowds, so show up early for a good seat!

It’s time to plant your spring garden! At the spring sales we will feature many interesting ornamental perennials, as well as traditional Andean annual and perennial food crops such as yacon, kiwicha, mashua, tamarillo, oca, pepino, quinoa, and cape gooseberry.

This is a free event with Garden Tours at 11 am and 1 pm.

At our first Spring Plant Sale we'll be selling hundreds of open-pollinated, heirloom and rare varieties – all California Certified Organic – many started from our own seed collection. All have been trialed, tasted, and savored for years in our demonstration gardens and kitchen. This sale features early Spring crops such as lettuces and greens, peas, brassicas, chards, onions, leeks, flowers, and herbs.

The OAEC garden staff will be on hand to tell you about our diverse selections and offer a tour of our gardens, where many of these plants are featured.

Check back later for the list of plants we will offer during this April sale.
